High-quality Consumables for Your Probe Station

At Micromanipulator, customers not only have the best line-up of premium probe stations to choose from but will also find one of the most comprehensive selections of well-designed accessories and consumables on the market.  With a broad range of options, you can outfit a probe station to suit both your personal preferences and application requirements. Our products make it easy to meet measurement equipment interface requirements and stay within budget.

With our close to 60 years in the industry, it has taught us a thing or two about analytical probing.  We work closely with our customers and listen to their needs so we may continue to develop products that meet the needs of the industry.  Our excellent line of consumables includes probe holders, active probe holders, high frequency probe holders and probe tips.

Micromanipulator’s probe holders are available for applications that range from general purpose DC characterization, high speed and wide bandwidth to low current and high power requirements.  Many of our products are a result of our customers’ input and specific needs, and if we do not already made what you need, we can customize one for you.

One of our more popular high speed, active probe holders is our Model PP-12C High Input Impedance.  The probe holder offers DC to 500 Mhz, 1 Megohm/0.1pF; and input capacitance of 0.1pf and an input resistance of 1.0 megohm.  The voltage range is -10 to +20V* with a bandwidth of dc to 500 MHz.

In our line of high frequency probe holders, our broad assortment includes the Model PP40A (BW DC-40GHz) that offers any pitch from 50 to 2540 microns to the Model PP67A (BWDC-67GHz) that provides any pitch from 50 to 1250 microns.  Several of our models are available in standard or dual differential configurations as well as with and without bias T.  Be sure to check out our website to see all of our options along with our complete line-up of quality probe stations.

Micromanipulator not only invented analytical probing in 1956 but we remain the top name in the field. The P300J Manual-Motorized 300 mm Probe Station

If you are looking for one of our most stable and intuitive probe stations as well as one that is space efficient, you will want to take a look at our Model P300J.  It has been specifically designed for applications that require low current and sub-micron positioning.  Loaded with standard features such as a single-point ground, dry/dark environment and integrated thermal chuck plumbing, the P300J’s motorized controls are designed to support both precise positioning and long-distance moves.

With a joystick and the exclusive MicroTouch™ controls, system users can easily operate the station stage, platen (Z), and theta as well as the microscope X-Y and Z drives.  In addition the manual-motorized probe station contains ample room for multiple manipulators and/or a probe card.

The P300J system supports a wide range of options and is backward compatible with accessories such as our manipulators, probe holders and probe card holder from our 4000 and 8000 series (200mm) stations. Another unique feature that was pioneered by Micromanipulator and remains a hallmark of our professional probe systems is the adjustable microscope lift delay that prevents driving a probe into the microscope’s object.

You will find a full range of high-quality accessories and options available for the system including: probe card holders, light tight enclosures, thermal wafer chucks, video accessories and manual/motorized manipulators.  Keep in mind that we offer full system support, extended warranties, preventative maintenance programs, and upgrade paths (even for obsolete tools!) to protect your investment.

Over our decades of experience in the field of analytic probing, we have had the opportunity to listen and learn from our customers and to design products that meet their needs.  Please see our website or contact us to learn how we can help you put together a system that meets your specific application needs.

As early pioneers in the analytical probing field, we bring 60 years of experience to give customers state-of-the-art products that are expertly designed, engineered, manufactured and meticulously tested. Top Selection of Probe Tips

To maximize your efficiency, you will want to outfit your probe station with Micromanipulator’s quality consumable accessories.  We design and manufacture a range of reliable disposable needle probes that are appropriate for a broad range of applications that include general probing; low resistance; high power; sub-micron targets; compliant, thermal applications; delicate target or surface; cutting and more.  Disposable needle probes offer the advantage of quick replacement and help to eliminate down time associated with the need to re-sharpen.

Many of our needle probes are made with a nickel or tungsten shank and tungsten tip and are suitable for most probing applications.  In addition we offer customers a selection of disposable probe tips that include fine tips, small targets with ‘C’ bend, or very small targets with a bendable nickel or Dumet shank cat-whisker.  To learn more about our entire inventory of needles and probe holders, please refer to our website’s reference chart for recommendations regarding specific applications.

Even if you do not see a probe tip that meets your application needs, we are happy to customize a special probe tip for a nominal setup charge.  Furthermore, if you prefer a probe holder with the needle probe built in, you may want to take a look at our Model 44, which is a perfect example of a single unit probe holder and tip.  This type of prober works great in applications that deal with high frequency, low level signal testing or cutting.

We stand by our products and all of Micromanipulator’s probe tips and probe holders are expertly engineered to meet measurement equipment interface requirements, application and budget demands along with personal preference.  Our decades of experience in analytic probing mean we have had the opportunity to listen and learn from our customers and to design products that meet their needs.
