Probe Positioners (Manipulators) Designed for High Frequency Applications

The manipulator is designed to support the probe holder and it is stabilized by either a vacuum base or magnetic base.   At Micromanipulator our probe positioners are available in manual, motorized or programmable versions and they all come with a 5-year warranty.

Among our selection of high-quality manipulators is the multi-versatile “Wave” 100/200 series that provides 200 GHz and is stabilized by a choice of vacuum or magnetic bases.   The exclusive Wave positioner is designed for high frequency applications and we offer several configurations.  The 5-axis control features X-Y and Z leadscrew-leadnut control as well as theta and planarity controls for alignment of microwave, multi-probe or mini-probe cards including Celadon’s “Versa Tile” and coplanar probes.

Our innovative WAVE positioners provide a resolution of 40 TPI =1.7 µm with maximum travel of 12.7mm (0.5”) for each axis.  Furthermore, they offer a theta and planarity range of 4 degrees.  The height of the PLF/PLS link arms is adjustable up to 3 inches (arms are purchased separately) and provide theta and planarity.

If you do not require the high frequency capability of the WAVE positioner, you may want to consider our budget-friendly, Model 110 manipulator.  The mini-arc styled probe positioner features a resolution of 32 threads per inch (TPI) of 2.2 µm and a 10 mm maximum travel for each axis.  Micromanipulator’s probe positioners all feature direct leadscrew/leadnut drives, ergonomic design and the highest stability.  In addition the entire line provides seamless system integration with any of our probe stations.

Many of our manipulators as well as probe tips, probe holders and more may now be purchased directly through our new ecommerce store.  Please see our website for more information.
