Demo Our Exclusive 2210-LS Application Board Probe Station

Micromanipulator is pleased to be able to offer our customers a chance to demo the world’s first true system level probe station with above and below ambient temperature capabilities.  In partnership with TEC Associates, we have setup a demonstration hub to provide interested customers the opportunity to evaluate the performance and capabilities of our tools including our 2210-LS in a real world setting.
Our California Demonstration Facility is located in Fremont California and is just minutes away from the San Jose International Airport and the Bay Area.  During your scheduled private demo, we encourage you to bring your devices and measurement hardware to verify our products with actual devices.
As one of our first products at the testing facility, the patented 2210-LS Application Board probe station was specifically designed to assist development teams working with post tape-out product spins.  Use of application boards for system level testing can significantly expedite the failure analysis operation.  It allows you to probe at the application board block or system level while exercising your chip in mission mode.  Furthermore, the 2210-LS allows you to trace and analyze issues that manifest only in the actual end application environment faster and easier than ever before.
Please contact TEC Associates, our exclusive sales representative in Northern California, or visit Micromanipulator’s website for contact information to schedule a demo appointment.  The cost of test and setup are controlled with flexibility to test different systems on one platform.  While at our website, we invite you to take a look at our extensive line of probe stations, consumables and accessories.  Also remember that Micromanipulator now has an online store that conveniently sells our probe holders, probe tips, manipulators/probe positioners and patch cords.
Micromanipulator not only invented analytical probing in 1956 but we remain the leading name in the field.  As such we reliably deliver the tools and life cycle support the semiconductor industry depends on.  As part of our company’s philosophy and what drives our success is an unfaltering commitment to customers’ satisfaction.  We invite you to contact us to find out more about our wide range of probe stations, accessories and consumables.

Need a Really High Frequency Probe Holder?

One look at our website and you will see that Micromanipulator offers high frequency probe holders for ranges greater than 3 GHz (or microwave) as well as low for capacitive loading or high input impedance.  As a distributor of the Picoprobe® series, our selection of probe holders include the Model PP40A that offers a frequency range of DC to 40GHz right through to the highest frequency range of 220GHz to 325GHz available from the Model PP325 WR3.  All of our microwave probe heads require the WAVE100 or WAVE200 RF/Microwave style manipulator along with the use of the appropriate probe link arms (PLS or PLF) and cables.

One of our popular models is the PP120 WR10 that offers a high frequency range from 75 to 100 GHz.  Specifications include an insertion loss of 1.75 db max (75 to 110 GHz) and a return loss of 15 db max (75 to 110 GHz).  The measurement repeatability is 50 db and is available with or without a bias T.

Another option is our PP220 WR5 that has a frequency range from 140 to 220GHz.  The probe holder has an insertion loss of 2.0 dB typ and a return loss of 15 dB typ.  It too is available with or without the bias T.

If you just require a DC to 3 GHz range, we recommend you consider our popular fixed-tip and economical Model 44RF that is perfect for the most common microwave tests.  The probe holder has been designed for testing ground and signal contacts on high frequency hybrid and integrated circuits.  With Kelvin force and sense and single wire configurations, the Model 44 is available at our online store.  For more information regarding our very high frequency probe holders, please visit our website to take a look at our Probe Tip and Probe Holder Reference Manual or give one of our engineers a call.

“Systems Approach” to Integration

Micromanipulator’s advanced technology includes taking a “systems approach” to thermal management; vibration isolation; flexible and, open architectures; as well as offering a wide selection of materials.  Our company got its start in 1956 by pioneering many of the advancements in the semi conductor industry, and now more than 60 years later, we are proud to say we are still leading the way.

Along with our broad range of probe stations designed to meet the needs of virtually any application, we design, engineer and manufacture a line of exceptional accessories.  All of these products seamlessly integrate with our probe stations and include high-quality microscopes, vibration isolation, thermal chucks, light and noise shields, and manipulators along with DC and RF measurement hardware.

One example of our accessories is the Light Tight Enclosure (LTE) with Vibration Isolation Table.  It offers the benefit of allowing the probe station be supported on the vibration isolated surface and the light tight enclosure to be mounted on the rigid surface of the table’s guard rails.  Our well-designed product does not disturb the floating vibration isolated surface when the LTE doors are opened as with other such systems.    In addition ours is easy to install and allows for easy removal of the probe station.

In terms of our manipulators/probe positioners, our selection provides the highest stability available and is designed to meet your application needs as well as personal preference and budget.  All of our manipulators feature direct leadscrew / lead nut drives and ergonomic designs, and range from our economy Model 110 manipulator to the multi-versatile WAVE manipulator.

To guarantee customer success with all of our various high-tech tools, we offer Micromanipulator’s exclusive Full Life-Cycle Support worldwide.   Along with onsite support, our team of engineers is available to answer questions about our probe stations and accessories and will help you get the best products for your needs.

Micromanipulator not only invented analytical probing in 1956 but we remain the leading name in the field.  As such we reliably deliver the tools and life cycle support the semiconductor industry depends on.  As part of the company’s philosophy and what drives our success is an unfaltering commitment to customers’ satisfaction.  Please contact us to find out more about our exceptional line of probe stations and accessories.
