From the start, and in the case of The Micromanipulator Company, that means over 60 years ago, we have listened to our customers and is the reason we offer customized tools or useful information to assist with any application you may have. By really connecting with system users all these years, it has enabled us to address specific needs for probe stations, probe positioners, thermal chucks, probe holders, and probe tips. 

One example is our broad selection of probe holders in single wire, coaxial, triaxial, certified triax and Kelvin configurations. In the majority of cases, the probe tip is secured with a pin jack or a set screw probe mount but we also offer probe holders with shaft locks that slide the closure handle towards the probe point to secure it. 

Micromanipulator’s probe holders are designed for high frequency, low level signal testing, CV testing, and general purpose DC measurement and bias. In addition we offer high frequency holders for coplanar configurations (GSG, SG, GS) and >1GHZ VNA measurements. Our selection of active probe holders offers high input impedance, low input capacitance, fast timing acquisition (optimized rise/fall times, and low capacitance. With all these choices, your decision will be based on your testing needs and/or personal preference. 

With such an extensive inventory, most Micromanipulator customers find solutions for their most technical requirements but occasionally a more exact configuration is required. We address this by offering custom probe holders and probe tips - all you need to do is give us a call and ask for a “Custom Probe Holder Request” form to start the process.
