It is generally used to detect mobile ion contamination in oxide, and in particular very mobile sodium ion; and the technique requires varying the voltage in order to measure the capacitance.  A challenge of C-V measurement has been to design a device that not only passes manufacturers’ testing in a controlled environment but one that can also handle the migration of sodium ions within the device while in the field.  We know the failure to achieve this causes a multitude of problems including changing the parameters of the electrical performance, affecting the timing, and source and sink currents as well as the threshold voltages. 

Thus the team at Micromanipulator has been addressing these problems for almost 50 years and offers our customers tools specifically designed to obtain quality test results.  Our turnkey solution starts with several probe stations that provide the foundation for a highly accurate test environment for C-V measurements. Choice of Reliable Manipulators for Any Testing Need

Our 79 Series Coaxial Probe Holders are a coaxially shielded probe holder, which is ideal for measurements of high frequency or low level signals.  They offer a 30″ long signal wire with male coaxial connector for connection to measurement instruments and come in total body lengths of 1-7/8” or 3-1/8”.

Micromanipulator’s 79-6000-TD-03 Kelvin Triaxial Probe Holders have a two tubular body construction that is perfect for applications where platen space is at a premium and contact space is difficult or limited.  The probe holder’s single point eliminates the problem of planarity and contact uniformity as well as the need and expense of two probe holders and two manipulators. Newly Listed Refurbished Wafer Probe Stations from the Industry’s Leader

The Micromanipulator Company recently has made available a couple of refurbished wafer probers straight from our line of exceptional products.  They are the flexible and highly adaptable 350PM Micromanipulator Probe Station as well as the most widely used probe station by any manufacturer, Micromanipulator’s Model 6200.

The 350PM features include: vacuum stabilized chuck, chuck removable to open stage, coarse and fine platen Z-control, a 2” x 2” X-Y microscope translation, and compound microscope.  The probe station was designed and manufactured with care and precision in the Micromanipulator tradition, and provides system users with a powerful, economical probe station with outstanding flexibility.  Micromanipulator also manufactures interchangeable vacuum pedestal stage assemblies that facilitate probing up to 150mm (6”) wafers, up to 100 x 100mm (4”x 4”) hybrid substrates, and packaged delidded devices.

The Model 6200 offers a permanently planarized stage & vacuum chuck, independent microscope lift, compound microscope, coarse & fine stage translation controls X & Y, and fine and fast lift platen controls in Z.  The probe station is designed to be compatible with Micromanipulator’s extensive line of quality probe tips, probe holders and other accessories.
