Probe Holders for RF/Microwave Probing Applications

As the company that not only invented analytical probing over sixty years ago, Micromanipulator is also the place to find high-tech solutions for virtually any probing application.  One example of our extensive product line is two probe holders specifically designed for RF/Microwave probing applications.

If your RF/Microwave testing requirements are in the DC to 3 GHz range, we recommend that you take a look at our economical Model 44RF, a single unit holder with a fixed probe tip.  The probe holder is ideal for most common microwave tests including testing ground and signal contact on high frequency hybrid and integrated circuits.  The 44RF’s return loss can be increased by the addition of internal loss.  When used with manipulators, it provides quick, accurate positioning of the probe tip.   We are certain to have exactly what you need in terms of your application and preference as we offer more than 20 version of the Model 44RF.  To learn more about this high-quality product, please see our A1013702 data sheet.

For probing applications greater than the 3 GHz range or microwave, low capacitive, loading or high input impedance probing; Micromanipulator offers the Picoprobe® series of probes.  Microwave probe heads require the WAVE100 or WAVE200 RF/Microwave style manipulator with appropriate probe link arms (PLS or PLF) and cables.  You will find we manufacture probe tips with the option of high conductance tips and designed to reduce the probe scrub needed by a factor of 5 or more.  When shopping for a high conductance tip (available in Models 7A, 7B, 7F, 7G, 7S, 7X and alternate radius tip probes), add “-HCT” suffix to the part number.  See our website to learn more about RF/microwave probe holders and tips as well as all of our other tools the semi-conductor industry relies on.

Micromanipulator not only invented analytical probing in 1956 but we remain the leading name in the field.    We offer one of the most comprehensive selections of probe stations on the market today as well the consumables, accessories and on-site support you require.  Contact us to learn more.
